A property owner does have the ability to protest their own properties, but similar to a lawyer or an accountant you want someone who understands the lingo and the rules. As a Property Tax Consultant our main objective is to save you money, if we aren’t saving clients money we aren’t making money. Your time is valuable, filing a protest, navigating deadlines, and attending hearings can be time consuming.
If you presented your protest in front of the Appraisal Review Board, you have the options to either file an Arbitration or a Lawsuit.
An Appraisal Review Board Decision may be appealed by filing for a Binding Arbitration (Appeal to the Texas Comptroller).

An Arbitration Appeal ensures that your property is appealed to a higher level where there is less chance of bias.
